hashy

How it works

Every coin on Hashy is mined before anyone can buy it. Miners get the first coins. No one gets coins for free, not even the creator.

  1. 1Pick a coin that’s being mined, or create your own.
  2. 2Connect your wallet and add a small amount of SOL from it to pay for mining. Mining starts right away.
  3. 3Keep the tab open. Your computer does calculations while you mine, and each minute costs a small amount of SOL. The longer you mine, the more coins you get.
  4. 4When mining ends, all the SOL miners paid is used to buy the coin first, up to 20% of all coins. No one can buy before the miners.
  5. 5Your coins arrive in your wallet within seconds. There’s nothing to claim. Any SOL that wasn’t used is sent back to you too.
  6. 6Then anyone can buy and sell. Once 64 SOL has been bought in, the coin graduates. The money backing its trading is locked and can never be withdrawn.

Privacy

What Hashy stores, where, and for how long.

No accounts

Hashy has no sign-up, no email and no password. You connect a Solana wallet, which shares your public address with this site. Your keys never leave your wallet.

What is public by nature

Everything you do on Hashy is a Solana transaction: launches, mining submissions, trades and deliveries. Transactions, and the wallet addresses in them, are public and permanent on the blockchain. Hashy indexes them to show charts, activity and portfolios, and anyone else can do the same.

Coin names, tickers, images, descriptions and links you enter at launch are stored on IPFS and in the coin’s on-chain metadata. They are public and cannot be deleted.

What stays in your browser

The optional mining wallet is a key created and kept in your browser’s local storage. It is never sent to Hashy. If you clear your browser data without backing it up, the key is gone, and so is anything it still holds.

Your browser also remembers small preferences, such as how many CPU threads to mine with. Hashy sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

What our servers see

Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details with each request. Hashy uses IP addresses only to limit abuse (for example, how many images one connection can upload), keeps them in counters that are deleted within a day, and does not sell or share them.

Requests to the Solana network go through RPC providers, and images load from an IPFS gateway; those services see your IP address too.
